My cube-mate just shelled out a little less that $2k for a new MacBook
Pro, core 2 duo, 2G ram, nvidia, 15" screen, led backlight, very
lightweight. He showed me a screengrab of it running Windows under
VMWare, Ubuntu, OS X, & WOWarcraft all at the same time. He said they
all had reasonable response time. Pretty amazing machine.

Of course, for that price I could buy 3 of my Toshibas.

Oh well next time...:-)

Cheers, Bob

Working in a high Mac concentration environment I have come to truly
appreciate Mac hardware. Since Mac went Intel, their prices have become
pretty competitive with Windows machines.

If you go high end workstation, Mac Pros have a lot of bang for the buck
and are built for war.

Whatever, as long as it doesn't have one of those "Designed for
Microsoft Windows" stickers on it. :)

On my Toshiba, I left the Vista sticker on it but it's running Ubuntu
99% of the time. In fact, last time I ran Vista was when I fixed the
partitioning so Vista *would* boot, just to test the fix.
