irc client on shell.xmission.com

What's the irc client on the shell.xmission.com server? I'm an old ircii
user and discovered it's not installed, what's the alternative?

Looks like irssi is installed. man -k irc is a good way to start with
questions like this.

Thanks! Never used, seen, nor heard of irssi. I'll give it a try.

Saw it in 'apropos' but 'modular' sounded like it was part of something else.

Lots of good plugins and scripts out there for irssi. I recommend this
